Pastoral Shepherds/Elders

Ole Ahlstrom

Pastoral Shepherd/Elder

Ole has been a part of the Redwood Family since 2000 and has been a Pastoral Shepherd/Elder since 2006.

Ole served six years in the United States Navy, after which he earned his B. S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the Oregon Institute of Technology. He went to work in the high tech field but found he missed the connection associated with the Rogue Valley where he grew up so he moved back to Grants Pass with his family. Ole currently works for the City of Grants Pass in the Public Works Department.

Besides being a Pastoral Shepherd, Ole’s passion in ministry involves living life “real time” with others. He and his wife, Alvin, oversee Celebrate Recovery and enjoys being a part of Redwood’s Worship Team. “If it involves overcoming or growing, I want to be a part of that because that’s what Jesus has done for me”.

Ole and his wife, Alvin, have been married 17 years and have 3 girls: twins Erin and Zoe who are in grade school and Nora who is just starting Kindergarten

In his free time you’ll find Ole and his family Hiking around the Rogue Valley!

Jim Williams

Pastoral Shepherd/Elder

Jim began attending Redwood in March of 2004, with his wife Kim, and their children David and Becca. Jim was baptized into Christ at Redwood on December 18, 2005.

Soon after making the decision to attend Redwood, Jim began to serve in the Worship Ministry as an Audio/Video technician. As his desire to serve the Lord increased he accepted the position of Audio/Video Ministry Team Leader. Jim has since become a home group leader, an active part of the Childrens Ministry, and now serves as a Pastoral Shepherd/Elder as well.

Due to his advancing age Jim :) can no longer pursue his youthful hobbies such as: rock climbing, mountaineering, and whitewater rafting. Now Jim spends his free time reading, listening to music, fishing, and hanging out with his wife and kids (and maybe with a few mountains and rivers once in awhile).
